McDonald’s China has just launched a powerful integrated communication campaign to promote its Global Mobile App. Using Kris Wu, the company’s first brand ambassador in ten years, McD’s hopes to leverage Kris’ celebrity appeal to create a stronger emotional bond with Chinese teenage consumers. Building on the insight that Chinese teens love to follow the same styles and fashions as their idols, Leo Burnett encouraged young fans to adopt the “Same style as Kris”.
